Dreaming of Hawaii. A little suggestion of paradise in this painting, with the high mountains in the background with colours of taupe, tan, blues and browns depending on whether the area is in light or shadow. The mid ground shows us a manicured lawn with abundant trees and their prominent shadows in the purple tones. The trees are of a soft green while the lawn is a lively green. On the left of the canvas there are dramatic palm trees, one being very tall with fronds in tones of tan, white, greens and blues; the trunk is in tans, greys and beiges. On the right side of the canvas there are large trees of blues and greens. There is a waterway which goes through a charming small stone-grey bridge where the water flows through it to the right of the foreground where the water reflects beautifully the adjacent land.
