It is late May in Tuscany and the vivid red poppies are at their peak and appear to be dancing in the breezes, before the storm. The hills are alive with an array of brilliant spring colours - a variety of greens, golden yellows, green-blues, mauves and silvery young olive trees. The colours soften as the eye moves towards the ancient villa ensconced in dark cypress trees which yield to the west wind bringing forth the storm. The vivid blue skies are moving in the same direction. A feeling of anticipation and suspense is evoked.
