A dazzling combination of primary colours (royal blue, scarlet, brilliant yellow and orange) reveal a dramatic Bird of Paradise set against dark jungle greens which draw ones eye inward to investigate the interior of this dark place in the rainforest. The Hawaiian winter produces an abundance of these vivid passion flowers in brilliant mauves and rich purples as well as a multitude of yellows to pure whites. The ranges of green leaves and stems are equally stunning and we are reminded that the depths of the rainforest are magnetic. There is a sensation of surrender and being absorbed by these tropical living things This old plantation built on a sunlit hill is protected by dense pine trees and heavenly palms. Some foliage appears almost artificial with its extreme brilliant colours and unusual exotic shapes, clusters and formations. You feel relaxed and yet somewhat awed by their stark beauty. This unique white roof can be seen virtually everywhere on this small island of British origin. Shades of blue-grey represent the shadows formed by the "steps" of the roof, and only the traditional chimney, a small amount of pastel pink wall, and luscious deep green Oleanders with their hot pink blossoms are visible under the striking roof in the composition. You can see the turquoise water in the distance. The ambience is mysterious
